As part of our growth plans and to meet increased client demand we are looking to recruit a talented and experienced dispute resolution lawyer (non-insolvency) to lead, develop and manage our dispute resolution practice. This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role in a growing firm and would suit someone already practising at Director level or a driven Senior Associate who is looking for a challenging role with prospects.

Role and Responsibilities
Working in the Manchester office but with a national focus to lead and grow the non-insolvent dispute resolution offering in conjunction with (and with the support of) the Leonard Curtis group.
Role Description
- To manage own caseload of technical and complex litigation and supervise others to do so ensuring all work is undertaken to a high quality and at the appropriate level.
- To advise on legal and commercial aspects of a wide range of business related disputes such as shareholder/partnership/director disputes, breach of contract and warranty claims, business contract and supply chain issues and all financial conflicts.
- To manage existing team and be instrumental in recruiting and growing the team in line with firm and group projections.
- To support the development of junior fee earners in the team by mentoring and ensuring career development plans are in place.
- To assume responsibility for the delivery and management of dispute resolution services across the firm, building upon existing work types and identifying product gaps to be explored.
- Working alongside senior directors in delivering key group service lines.
- To be actively involved in business development and marketing activities to promote our dispute resolution offering and the Leonard Curtis brand.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Demonstrable experience of handling litigation to trial
- Excellent analytical, communication and organisational skills
- The confidence and gravitas to lead and manage a practice area
- The desire and hunger to promote their own career to the next level through existing and future relationships and with full support at board level
- An entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset in their approach
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work with diverse and complex stakeholder groups
- A track record of developing business opportunities although a following is not required
- A confident and can do attitude in a fast paced environment
- A team player who can work collaboratively with the team, firm and group
